Our curriculum is based around seven pathways. All pathways have Maths and English skills embedded within the vocational content with a view to moving on to functional skills English and Maths as well as students having weekly PSHE and careers sessions.

 

Pathway—Music

We aim to create a welcoming and supportive environment for all students and staff, promoting equity and access to musical opportunities. For students to value the instruments we have and for these to be accessible to all.

 

We embrace and celebrate diversity in musical genres, cultures, and individual backgrounds, allowing our students to share their musical cultural backgrounds with students and staff.

 

 

Pathway—Construction

A high quality construction education allows  our students to gain an industry relevant qualification which is geared toward the key sector requirements. Students will learn the knowledge and skills used by professionals in this sector on a daily basis. 

 We celebrate achievement through Construction. Students are taught a wide 

range of skills in Carpentry, Bricklaying, Painting & Decorating to explore their personal interests

 and offer practical experience. 

 Students are taught about the online retail experience which is essential within the modern world for a successful business to thrive. Students will learn and be able to confidently develop and investigate solutions for construction  businesses. Students will explore how construction operations are organised on a daily basis making them ready for the working world. Students will be ready to further study and explore Construction and be able to access the future workplace

 

Pathway—Warehousing

A high quality Vehicle Maintenance education allows  our students to gain an industry relevant qualification which is geared toward the key sector requirements. Students will learn the knowledge and skills used by professionals in this sector on a daily basis. 

Students are taught a wide range of skills in Motor Vehicle Mechanics to explore their personal interests and offer practical experience.

 Students are taught about a basic car maintenance through kinesthetic experience which is essential within the modern world for a successful business to thrive. Students will learn and be able to confidently develop and investigate solutions for Mechanical businesses. Students will explore how Mechanical operations are organised on a daily basis making them ready for the working world. Students will be ready to further study and explore motor vehicle courses and be able to access the future workplace.

Pathway—Hair/Beauty

 

A high quality Hair and Beauty education allows  our students to gain an industry relevant qualification which is geared toward the key sector requirements. Students will learn the knowledge and skills used by professionals in this sector on a daily basis. Hair and Beauty has deep links with Business, IT, Technology, Art & Design. Students are taught about business skills which is essential within the modern world for a successful business to thrive. Students will learn and be able to confidently develop and investigate solutions for Hair and Beauty businesses. Students will explore how Hair and Beauty operations are organised on a daily basis making them ready for the working world. Students will explore and develop brand knowledge. Students will be ready to further study and explore Hair and Beauty and be able to access the future workplace.

Students will investigate and develop ideas through using a range of media. These key skills will ensure Kingsley Academy students are ready for the workplace and wider world.

Students are taught about the online retail experience which is essential within the modern world for a successful business to thrive. Students will learn and be able to confidently develop and investigate solutions for retail businesses. Students will explore how retail operations are organised on a daily basis making them ready for the working world. Students will explore and develop brand knowledge to become experienced in the retail leaders on the high street and in the digital world. Students will be ready to further study and explore retail and be able to access the future workplace.
